ALIUS is an academic association maintained through the voluntary participation of its members. It strives to towards a predominantly horizontal organizational structure. While coordinators oversee the functioning of ALIUS, they are elected every three years. The active roles distribute responsibilities among members, with coordinators stepping in and offering feedback as needed. TreasurerDescription
The Treasurer plays a crucial role in managing the financial health of ALIUS by overseeing budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining the annual budget, tracking expenses, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Treasurer identifies fundraising opportunities, prepares regular financial reports for the coordinators and members, and provides financial advice to support long-term stability. Journal Club CoordinatorDescription
The key responsibilities for this role include identifying and selecting engaging topics for our monthly Journal Club, inviting ALIUS members to present their work, and coordinating all aspects of the meetings via Zoom or Jitsi. The manager will also moderate Q&A sessions, record lectures, and ensure the smooth functioning of each session. Additional duties involve organizing RSVP forms, sending reminders to participants, and ensuring that we hold at least one Journal Club meeting per month. The manager will also design promotional banners using templates to effectively market the events.
